Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 30, 2026

PsychTruths is a reader-supported educational website. This page explains how we may earn money from links on the Site and how we keep that separate from our content.

Our current status

At the time of writing, psychtruths.com does not contain any affiliate links or sponsored content. All links in our articles point to sources and further reading, such as research papers, health bodies and reference sites, and we earn nothing from them.

We may join affiliate programs in the future. When we do, this page will be updated to name them, and the rules below will apply.

What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a link to a product or service, such as a book, course or app, that pays us a small commission if you buy something after clicking it. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

How we will disclose them

  • Any article containing affiliate links will say so clearly near the top of the article, before the first affiliate link.
  • Affiliate and sponsored links will be marked with rel="sponsored" in line with search-engine guidelines.
  • Sponsored or paid content, if we ever publish any, will be clearly labelled as such.
  • If we join the Amazon Associates program, we will state: “As an Amazon Associate, PsychTruths earns from qualifying purchases.”

Our editorial independence

Our content is written to help readers understand psychology and mental health, not to sell products. Affiliate relationships will never decide what we write about, what we recommend, or what we say about a product. We will only recommend books, resources or tools we believe could genuinely help our readers, and we will not recommend anything as a substitute for professional mental health care.

Because our content covers sensitive topics, we will not place affiliate links in articles in a way that targets people in crisis.

Advertising

The Site may display advertising in the future, for example through Google AdSense. Ads are served by third parties and are not endorsements by PsychTruths. How advertising cookies work is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Why we disclose this

We believe readers should always know when we have a financial interest in a link. This disclosure also follows the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides and the UK’s consumer protection rules on advertising and endorsements.
